Housni Mkouboi, better known as Rohff (Rimeur Original Hardcore Flow Fluide) is a French rapper.

Born 15th December 1977 in Mbéni, Grande Comore in the archipelago island nation of Comoros, Rohff relocated with his family to Parisian suburb of Vitry-sur-Seine, France when he was just seven years old. He grew up listening to rap music, developing an affinity for artists like 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., NWA and The Game, and began rapping himself in his mid to late-teens. His first professional appearance was on the track On fait les choses, which appeared on the 1998 album Première Classe alongside with tracks by rappers like Neg’Marrons, Mystik and Pit Baccardi. He soon set up the rap collective Mafia K’1 Fry with Kery James, Intouchable and 113, and they released their debut album Légendaire in 1999.

Towards the end of the 1990s Rohff also began working on his solo material and released his debut album Le Code De L’Honneur in 1999. With tracks like Appelle-moi Rohff, Catastrohff, Rohff Vs l’État, Génération sacrifiée and Manimal, the album went on to sell over 20,000 copies. This was followed by 2001’s La Vie Avant La Mort, which was a big hit and produced the singles TDSI, Get down sam’di soir, and 5-9-1 (with the R&B singer Assia). Then came the 2002 hit single Qui est l’exemple? (ft. Kaylia), which reached number one in France and was certified platinum with sales of over 750,000 copies.

The rapper’s third album La Fierté des nôtres was released in September 2004 and sold over 190,000 copies in France alone. Since then, he has released a further five solo albums – Au-Delà De Mes Limites, Au-Delà De Mes Limites Classics, Le Cauchemar Du Rap Français Chapitre I, Le Code De L’Horreur and La Cuenta – as well as the mixtape Le Cauchemar du Rap Français with his group Mafia K’1 Fry.
