Rapper 50 Cent has Twitter account suspended

by Millionout on Sep.07, 2010, under 50 Cent

50 Cent has made many enemies during his life and now there’s a new one to add to the list: Twitter.

The US rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, had his Twitpic account blocked after he uploaded a number of X-rated photos, including a photo of a woman in a bikini with a hamburger between her buttocks. The rapper also wrote ‘Y’all like my Kim K Burger?’ in reference to socialite Kim Kardashian.

Fiddy, who is famous for hits like In Da Club, P.I.M.P., Candy Shop (ft. Olivia) and I Get Money, didn’t react well when he realised his picture account had been blocked. He Tweeted: ‘Twitpic just suspended my account damn. They got 30mns to get it back or ima go haywire.’ When it wasn’t resolved within his  deadline, he launched into a tirade of foul language. ‘I told them mother****ers put it back… don’t touchin my s**t’ was just one of the Tweets he posted shortly afterwards.

The rapper has since apologised for his use of language, although his account remains suspended.

50 Cent drops bombs on new Cee-Lo track

by SimpleT on Aug.27, 2010, under 50 Cent

50 Cent has been fairly quiet over the last twelve months. That’s not to say he hasn’t been shooting his mouth off about his fellow rappers and pulling some outrageous publicity stunts, but in terms of his rap career he hasn’t released a single since 2009’s flop Baby by Me (ft. Ne-Yo), from his disappointing album Before I Self Destruct. But now 50 is back in style with an appearance on Cee-Lo’s new single Fuck You.

The song, from Cee-Lo’s upcoming album The Lady Killer, sees 50 Cent back to his best: delivering double quick raps that are big on attitude and style. The appearance is the latest of many in 2010, which have included guest spots on Shorty Mack’s Rap To U, E-40’s Bitch (Remix) and Tony Yayo’s Pass the Patron.

The rapper is set to release his fifth studio album Black Magic soon, and by all accounts it’s a return to form for the rapper. So keep an eye out for it sometime in late 2010, meanwhile, you can check 50 cent ringtones on mobijoy.com.

50 Cent

by UberDark on Jul.02, 2010, under 50 Cent

Curtis Jackson III, better known by the name 50 Cent, is a Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer from the USA.

Born in the borough of Queens, New York City on 6th July 1975, Jackson spent his early teens boxing in the local gym and selling cocaine on the streets. In 1994 he was sentenced to three to nine years in prison, but managed to get out after six months, vowing to turn his life around. The nickname ‘50 Cent’ is meant as a metaphor for ‘change’.

Jackson began rapping in the mid-1990s and first gained popularity with singles from his unreleased debut album Power of the Dollar, including How to Rob and Thug Love (ft. Beyoncé). He spent six months out of the limelight after being shot nine times outside his house, but after releasing a number of mixtapes he landed a contract with Interscope Records in 2002.

Working with the megastar rappers Eminem and Dr. Dre, Jackson released his debut major label studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2004. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, eventually selling over six million copies, and produced the US number ones In Da Club, 21 Questions and Wanksta, as well as the international hit P.I.M.P.

His next album The Massacre also reached number one and sold 1.14 copies in its first week alone. It was nominated for a Best Rap Album Grammy and produced the number one single Candy Shop (ft. Olivia), as well as the smash hits Disco Inferno, Just a Lil’ Bit and Outta Control (ft. Mobb Deep).

Jackson’s next two albums, 2007’s Curtis and 2009’s Before I Self Destruct – both reached the Billboard Top 5 and have sold millions of copies worldwide. Between them they’ve produced the singles I Get Money, Straight to the Bank, Amusement Park, Ayo Technology, I’ll Still Kill, Ok You’re Right, Baby By Me and Do You Think About Me.

50 Cent’s fifth studio album Black Magic will be released in 2010.
